About Coach

our fearless leader

Coach Chris Henderson has coached youth basketball for over twenty years. He began in 1998 at the Kennedy Park recreation league and the Salvation Army Recreation League in Long Island, NY. Although it is called a recreation league it is very competitive boys’ league, more like travel basketball than recreation. Coach Henderson discovered he had a passion for training. He trained basketball players and football players. After moving to Georgia in 2004 Coach Henderson found himself immediately coaching boys in the Lassiter Junior Basketball Program. In, 2006 Coach Henderson decided to start his own training business PrimeTime Basketball.

He then moved his family to the North Cobb High school district where he has been coaching for the last four years. Coach Henderson also coached briefly for Acworth recreation, he found out the meaning of Georgia recreation basketball and the limitations of coaches. Coach Henderson has coached 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade girls at North Cobb.

After further evaluation of PrimeTime’s success as a training business Coach Henderson decided to expand the training into an organization that provided the development and strengthening of the overall player. His vision is to create collegiate individual on all levels. The program focuses on basketball, academic expectations and the structure of social skills. PrimeTime has been very successful with three teams the first year, four the following year. Out of his 2010 team three players were awarded five full years scholarships on the division one collegiate level. Three more players are being heavily recruited and there will be more to come.
